Capacity Services
Capacity Building supports can help you develop skills and build your independence.
Capacity
The purpose of Capacity Building supports is to help build your skills and independence. This may be through different types of therapies such as occupational therapy, speech therapy or behavioural therapy, it can be to get help with finding and applying for work or it could include support to develop social skills or self management skills.
There are nine support categories and each one will help you towards reaching the goals set out in your National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan:
• Coordination of Supports
• Improved Living Arrangements
• Increased Social & Community Participation
• Finding and Keeping a Job
• Improved Relationships
• Improved Health & Wellbeing
• Improved Daily Living
• Improved Life Choices
• Improved Learning
It depends on the goals in your plan what categories you receive funding for. Within the category you can decide what services you want to spend your money on and adjust if needed. However you can't move funding from one category to another.
