In-Home Support
Supports such as personal care, cleaning or nursing care to help look after you in your own home.
Life Skills
Services to teach you skills to help make choices in your everyday life and to participate in the day to day activities of your home.
Sports and Recreation
Participating in sports and recreational activities helps you be active and connected to your community.
In-Home and Community Support
Support is available to help you to live your life as independently as possible by making sure that your living arrangements, and the help you get at home meets your needs. These supports may include helping you to find affordable, appropriate and secure housing on a permanent basis, or assist you with transport and day to day activities. It will also ensure you can stay connected and part of your local community.
Depending on your needs, you may be able to get assistance with personal care, have someone come to your house and help you with cooking or cleaning, or have access to respite. Or, rather than have someone do the tasks for you, you may be able to learn new skills through supports that are available so you can do these jobs yourself and keep your independence as well.
Many sport and recreational programs are targeted specifically at people living with disability or you may be able to get support for you to participate in mainstream social and community activities.
As well as helping with your wellbeing, social and community activities may also assist in helping you achieve any aims or goals you have under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
